Xavius NasOS is released under the Business Source License 1.1 (BSL). The source code is open: anyone can read, modify and redistribute it under the terms of the license.
For individuals, associations and companies, including for commercial use, on their own hardware or their customers' hardware: installation, maintenance, support and services around Xavius NasOS are free.
Offering Xavius NasOS, or a service built on it, to third parties as a hosted or managed service (online storage, hosted NAS, managed file service…) requires a commercial license. Contact: hiersoft@salade.io.
Each version of Xavius NasOS automatically becomes available under the GNU AGPL v3 four years after its release.
Xavius NasOS is built on Debian GNU/Linux and free software that each keep their own license. Details are available on the installed system (System › Information › License).
